LAUNCHub Ventures named best Investor of the year in CEE

On the 4th edition of the Central European Startup Awards finals, competition that includes national finalists from 10 countries in Central and Eastern Europe, LAUNCHub Ventures was named Best Investor of the year in CEE. The fund was competing in this category with reputable venture capital funds operating in the region such as Credo Ventures or Neulogy Ventures.
Among the international jury members this year were Alex Farcet, co-founder of Startup Bootcamp; Tanya Soman, venture partner at 500 Startups; Cristobal Alonso, CEO at Startup Wise Guys; Hussein Kanji, partner at Hoxton Ventures; Manuel Koelman, co-founder of Pirate Summit, and many more.
With a total of €30M under management, LAUNCHub Ventures invests actively seed stage tickets in the range of €300K to €700K in the Bulgaria and the CEE region. The latest additions to its portfolio include FindMeCure (co-investment with Techstars London), Heresy (co-investment with Seedcamp, Angellist and London co-investment fund). Moreover, the team from Office R&D recently raised a large $1M seed follow-up round, led by LAUNCHub Ventures.
The Central European Startup Awards launched in 2014 and covers currently 10 countries (Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia). The initiative has become the region’s largest startup festival, spotlighting the best entrepreneurs and investors across the region. The CESA have been steadily growing in popularity, with last year’s event receiving over 800 nominations.
